1) Describe five ways in which you think you have human capital that is truly unique. What is it about you, exactly, that makes you different? Write this up in a detailed list.
1- always motivated, never let anything stop me from getting what I want.
2- I am a workaholic, I literally work 24/7. Like even now I am at work while I am writing this assignment.
3- I am extremely paranoid with time so I try to manage my time to the extreme.
4- I like to bargain, so I always try to get the best deal no matter what, so I am always getting the right prices for my business.
5- I really like being straight forward so I don’t leave a space for making a mistake or a misunderstanding so that always help to make everything smooth and clear.
2) Interview the five people who know you the best. Ask them what they think makes you different -- remember, focus on your knowledge, skills, abilities, emotions -- in other words, your human capital. Try to stay away from discussing your other types of capital (such as who you know). Record each interview. In your post, please post each interview, as well as a two-three sentence summary of each interview, explaining what your key takeaways are. There is no time limit on these recordings. As long as you cover the information asked for above, that's all you need to do.
1-one of my customers: he described me as always professional and honest. He also mentioned that I am little too pushy on sales and deals.
2-one of my employees: he said I am a good boss but really strict and I don’t let them rest at all. He mentioned that I am stubborn, and I need to be more open to new ideas.
3- one of my family members said I am a highly motivated and they always like how hard I work and study, but they advised me to take it easy and spend more free time while I am young.
4-My dad: I can never be good enough for my dad. He said I am stubborn and I make quick decision, so I need to slow down and take baby steps at a time.
5- one of my friends. He said I am cool, funny and outgoing guy and he love the way I motivate him. He also said I am really good at selling and talking to people.
3) Reflect on the differences. How do you see yourself, and how do others see you? Are there differences in how you assess yourself compared to others? What do you think causes these differences? Do you think your interviewees are correct about you? Finally, going back to your list from part 1, would you make any corrections to the list? How?
I guess I see myself almost just like other people see me, I never really try to fake it and the people around me know that. I do agree that I am stubborn, and I need to be more open to new ideas. I also need some more fun time in my life, so I don’t get a heart attack because all the pressure.
Hi George, awesome skill of being a bargainer. That is something I admire about you. I just take things at face value because I do not have the grit to negotiate. It is great that you understand your weakness, awareness is the first key to understand that weakness. However, I do believe that in some cases, stubbornness can be an asset. As I mentioned above, it takes a certain type of stubborn to haggle. Keep thrive.
